Dr. Susan Meyerle

Susan is married to her husband Jerry , who is a financial advisor for UBS Financial Services. They have two children, Anastasia who is 6, and Andrew who is 3 1/2. She is a Marriage Educator and Counselor. She holds a Ph.d in Human Resources and Family Sciences from UNL, as well as a Master's in Family Life Education from UNL, and a BA in Biology and Psychology from Drake University.
     Her community involvement includes: the Board of Mental Health Practice, Leadership Lincoln Class XIX, served as a marriage expert on Marriage Matters Panel for First Family, and St. Monica's Board of Trustees.  She is actively involved in fundraising for St. Monica's, TeamMates, American Heart Association, America Cancer Society, and Alzheimer's Association. Her professional involvement includes: National Council on Family Relations, Employee Assistance Professionals Association, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, American Counseling.
     In her free time she enjoys singing, reading, swimming with her children, traveling, laughing, flower gardening and learning about others' experiences. Her talents include: playing the piano, public speaking, writing, motivating others, creating strategic vision, and making people laugh.  Susan has received many honors including the Jeannette Crum Fellowship Award, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences for outstanding graduate work, Nebraska Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Outstanding Graduate Student. Susan says her  life's ambition is to engage in a fulfilling marriage, to give her children roots and wings, to motivate others to recognize their potential, and to give thanks to God every day.
